ISSB Day 1 (Arrival Day)


 
Day 1 Routine (Summary)

Arrival 
The candidates arrive at the ISSB at around 11 AM or according to their Schedule on call letter. Their luggage is checked and the cellphones are collected at the main gate.

Reception


The candidates are allotted their rooms according to their time of arrival, after that they are gathered in the main hall (Johar Hall). It is a large hall with sitting arrangement. There are typically 100 (give or take 10) candidates at a time at the ISSB. The candidates receive an address from the ISSB staff, they are shown a documentary about the ISSB and its schedule.


Checking of Documents
The documents of all candidates are then checked and verified. If some information is found that's against the test rules like age limit crossed, degree or pass certificate not obtained, or any mis-information or information not valid then the particular candidate having the flaw is immediately sent back and dismissed from the test. 

Filling of Bio data Form


A Bio-data Form is handed over to the candidates, this form requires all personal details like personal information, education, family information, any activities you have taken part in like social service activities or sports activates. Anyone in family or relatives who served in armed forces details about them.
After the form the candidates are required to write a paragraph on any o the topics.

Time allowed to write the paragraph is four Minutes.

Allocation of Chest Numbers
The candidates are allocated Different chest numbers. A chest number is like a roll number in the class except this time you will have to wear it on your chest the whole time. A chest number is worn all the time during the tests.


Photographs
In the evening, the candidates are assembled again to take a profile photograph with their chest numbers for the record.
The Height and weight of each candidate is also measured for record.

Information

The daily routine of ISSB is under:-
Wakeup at 6.00 AM sharp
Breakfast at 7.00 AM
Lunch at 2.00 PM
Dinner at 8.00 PM
Lights off at 10.00 PM
The tests begin right after the breakfast and last up until 4 to 5 PM each day.

(the time table can vary a little and there can be a snack and tea at 10.30 AM but its not compulsory)
